Cooper’s Hawk Admissions: An Unusual Season

Typically, we admit several adult Cooper’s hawks throughout the year, many due to window collisions. However, this season has been unusual in that we have already seen a significant number of immature and juvenile Cooper’s hawks. Many of these young birds are suffering from emaciation and dehydration, and one was admitted with a fractured femur. Our team is working tirelessly to provide the care and treatment these hawks need to recover and return to the wild. Stay tuned for updates on their progress.
