Cooper’s Hawk Rescued After Vehicular Collision

This past week, a Cooper’s Hawk became the unfortunate victim of a vehicular collision on an extremely busy highway. While many might have noticed the injured bird and continued on their way, one compassionate individual took action. She safely stopped, rescued the hawk, and brought it directly to our hospital at Pine View.

Upon arrival, the hawk was immediately assessed by our veterinary team. Fortunately, it was cleared of any skeletal damage; however, it is currently under our care for rest and treatment due to head trauma.

We are immensely grateful for the woman who stepped up to help and for all our supporters who enable us to provide care in these critical situations. This incident serves as a powerful reminder of the difference one person’s actions can make in the life of an animal.

Thank you for your continued support, which is essential in our ongoing efforts to rescue and rehabilitate wildlife in need.
