Snapping Turtle Rescue and Release

This past week, we admitted a large snapping turtle that was found with a large piece of rotting bait attached to fishing line, sinker, and a hook in its mouth. Fortunately, the hook was caught only in its mouth and tongue and not swallowed. Thanks to the skilled care of our incredible vet, Dr. Rollmann at The Little Animal Hospital, the hook was easily removed. We are thrilled to report that the turtle made a swift recovery and has been successfully released back into the wild. A huge thank you to Dr. Rollmann and our supporters for making this rescue and release possible! Stay tuned for more updates on our wildlife care efforts.
