Great Horned Owl Update: Pre-Flight Progress and Continued Care
We’re currently caring for five great horned owl juveniles transferred to us from another rehabilitation center after being found dehydrated and emaciated on the ground.
We’re happy to share that three of the owlets have progressed enough to move into our pre-flight enclosures, where they can begin building strength and practicing natural behaviors in preparation for eventual release.
The remaining two owlets are still being housed indoors, where they are receiving supportive care and therapy to help them stabilize and gain the strength they need to move forward in their rehabilitation journey.
Each of these young birds is a testament to the resilience of wildlife—and the importance of specialized, compassionate care. We’re grateful to the team that helped transfer them and to all of you who continue to support our efforts. Stay tuned for updates as they grow stronger and get closer to their return to the wild.
